Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, New In Colors

 

As promised, here are some of the new selections of Designer Paper and New In Colors that will be available on August 11th. The Kiwi Kiss is a new In Color selection.  The Floral paper includes the Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, and Riding Hood Red In Colors. The Stamp Set used is Heard From the Heart.  Chocolate Chip Card stock was used with the Chocolate designer paper and Pink Pirouette Designer Paper included in the Bella Rose Series.  The ribbons are Old Olive and Chocolate Chip.  These cards are easy to make.  The Designer Paper does all the work.  I've got a few more cards made with another new set and I will post them soon.

Heard From The Heart, Always

This Card I made for my Aunt and Uncle's 20th Wedding Anniversary.  The sentiment is from the new set "Heard From The Heart" coming out on August 11th!  I hope you like it!  I'm working on my Convention Swaps now and will post more this week from this new set plus new designer paper.  Check back soon.

East Coast Prep, Summer Picnic, Berry Bliss Gift Sacks

Hello Everyone,

I've been at the beach.  I came home today just to get the a/c fixed at our house!  Steve came home to an oven the other night.  Its been hot at home but nice and cool at the beach.  I thought I would share with you something simple while I'm home.

These are Stampin' Up! Gift Sacks.  I make these with the left over designer paper I have when the catalog retires.  Not sure what designer paper will be retiring but the sacks come in real handy for hostess gifts and birthday gift bags. 

Here is the recipe:  You will need 2 sheets of Designer Paper per sack.

Stampin' Up! Gift Sacks

Sticky strip

Dimensionals

Scallop Punch

1 3/8" Circle Punch

Designer Paper=

7 3/4" X 10",

Strip= 1 1/2"x 7 3/4"

I attach the sticky strip to the back of the paper and then adhere it on to the gift sack.  Be sure to Unfold the bottom of the sack when attaching second piece of DP.  Punch out a circle and scallop punch with left over coordinating DP.  Adhere with dimensionals or Tie it off with ribbon around the Strip of DP.

Card Club Gifts

Card Club 6 had its last meeting this past June.  These are two of the gift items I gave each member.  If you want to be a part of Card Club 6 the new club begins on August 17th.  Check out my Join a Stampers Club Page for more details. 

Key Ring Cardstock Sampler- I punched out all 4 color families and the In Color family for these key rings using the 5 petal punch.  I also included glossy white, whisper white, shimmery white, and black.  To make the key ring hole I punched each color family at the same time.  That's 12 flowers at a time with the Crop-o-Dile.  Love this tool!  The Stampin' Color Index Labels for each color are located in the current Idea Book and Catalog on page 193.

This is a coaster key ring set using the Jersey Shore designer series paper (pg 168).  If you are a demonstrator this is a great way to take samples with you to workshops.  If you are a customer you can crop pictures, add stickers and other embellishments on these coasters and make it into a photo album.   Great for the coffee table or as a gift.  This wasn't my idea I saw it on Angie Juda's website.  I tried it out and it was so easy to make.  A little time consuming but worth it!  I punched the key ring holes with the Cropodile.  If you haven't used this tool yet its worth every penny.   

The coasters are from Eclectic Paperie.  Key Rings can be found at any office supply store or even the dollar store.

Fresh Cuts Tutorial

This is a sample of the Fresh Cuts Notes and Stamp set that will be featured in the new catalog on August 11th!  It's simple and easy-to-use with a unique size and an elegant floral design laser-cut in the middle of the card front.  The following is a tutorial on how I created this card.  Its so easy, you can too!

Step 1: Stamp the large stamp in the color of your choice.  Be sure to leave enough room at the bottom of the card for your sentiment.  For this card I used Blue Bayou which will be retiring on August 10th....so sad to see it go!  Stamp "For You" at the bottom of the card.

Step 2: Take out the removable petals.

Step 3: Using the 5 Petal Punch, punch out a Petal in Softy Sky Cardstock(another retiring color).

Step 4: Adhere the Soft Sky Flower to the inside of the card using a dimensional.

Step 5: Adhere a Blue Bayou 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 square with dimensionals over top of the Flower.

Step 6:  The inside of your card should look like this.

Step 7:   This picture is blurry~Sorry!  Stamp the little flower in Blue Bayou on Blue Bayou Card Stock. Cut out the Flower.

Step 8: Adhere the flower to the front of the card with a dimensional.

Step 9: Tie a ribbon around the side of the card.  That's it, you are all finished. 

 

Christmas Card Club

Hello Everyone,

The Christmas Card Club begins this weekend.  Friday from 7-10pm and Saturday 12-3pm.  The class is $15 per person.  You will create 10 cards.  5 of each of the cards below.  Each month is a different design.  Attend one month or all 6.  If you attend every month you will end up with 60 cards prepared for the holiday season!

Neighborhood

Here is a card sample I made for a friend who was having a housewarming party.  It's so simple.  I used blender pens to color in the wheeled neighborhood.  Stamp Sets: Dot Invitation (retired in 2004) and Neighborhood Wheel. 

Die Cut Stamps

Did you hear the news???  When Stampin' Up! said they were coming out with a new product line many of you had speculated on what it could be.  Some thought the Cricut™, some thought acrylic stamps, and others thought die cut stamps.  The real answer was Décor Elements (for more info read the previous post). 

For those who guessed die cut stamps you are still in luck.  With the introduction of the new Fall & Winter Catalog in August all new stamp sets will be die cut.  Stampin' Up! says, "We know you enjoy the flexibility of custom mounting your stamps, and with these die-cut sets, all you'll need to do is pop, peel, and place before you begin stamping. "  The dormant list stamps will still need to be cut and sets carried over from this catalog will still need to be cut.  In the new catalog, sets that are die cut will be marked with an icon.
