How 'bout them Apples

 

 

It's about that time of year.  School is almost out.  I made these cards again for my mom who is a 1st grade teacher.  She needs a lot of thank you notes for gifts she receives at the end of the year.  She loved these last year and the paper was retiring so we ordered a bunch.  These cards are based off of a card set created by Andrea W.  I just changed it up a bit.  Different sentiment and added the green apple paper.  I hope my Mom likes these as they took me a long time to make.  I made 43 of them.  That means I colored...129 apples with markers.  But they look great all finished.  Next year she is on her own!

Happy Birthday that almost became Happy Belated Birthday!

Today is not one but TWO members of my downline's birthdays!  Happy Birthday to Rina and Cathy.  Unfortunately I had to send them an E-card and post this little snapshot of a card I made a month or two ago instead of sending them real cards!  You know that feeling when you open up your day planner to find that you forgot to mail out the birthday cards before the holiday weekend.  Well that's me!  Boo Hoo!  I hope you both had a wonderful day today!  Here's the over the top, way too many accessories b-day card I have to make up for it....ha ha ha.  Can't get more basic than this!!!  I promise to do better next year!  Happy Day!

Walk in the Park Designer Paper 12x12 Layouts

Hello Everyone,

I'm so excited to share with you my scrapbook layouts.  I had fun creating these.  I haven't done 12x12 layouts before.  I know, many of you are surprised but I really have always concentrated on making cards.  I was successful at that so I went with it but now....I think my confidence is building when making scrapbook layouts.  Let me know what you think.

My inspiration came from this layout I saw on Julie Davisons blog. 

 

Then I was off on my own...I love how these layouts incorporate a 6x6 page, 8 1/2 x 11 page and turns into a 12x12 page.  I used 2 different stamp sets: Great Friend and Flight of the Butterfly.  I thought they complimented each other.

Stamp-A-Stack Cards Part 1

We had a wonderful time yesterday at the Stamp-A-Stack.  Here are some of the cards/6x6 scrapbook pages we made. 

 

Here is my first idea of the butterfly card but I went with the two below for the stampastack.  Just cause it was a little faster to make.

Happy Mother's Day Dress Cards!

Happy Mother's Day to all  mother's out there.  Today we celebrated at our family beach cottage with my grandmother, mother, sister, aunts and cousins.  I decided to make all of them scalloped dress cards.  I used an assortment of designer papers according to each persons personality.  Here's a group shot of the cards:
