Sneak Peek Holiday Mini Stamp Camp

Hello Everyone,

Today is the Sneak Peek Stamp Camp.  Here are the projects we will be making.  Oh, they are so much fun.  The first card is made using our new shimmer paints.  Champagne Mist was sponged on the snowflake stamp and then stamped on to the Basic Black card stock.  The champagne glass was shimmer painted with a mini paint brush and then covered with Crystal Effects.  It does have a raised glassy feeling to it.  Perfect for this card.  I used Brushed Gold card stock to accent the sentiment.

The Lollipop below is covered with a 3"x 6" piece of Dusty Durango Card Stock that has been embossed in white with the Sweet Centers stamp.  Then you punch out the center with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch.  Slide your lollipop inside and tie it off on the bottom with some black gingham ribbon.  I used the double circle punch on the bottom to thread the ribbon from back to front. 

 

Take the punched out piece and add it to the back of the lollipop holder with a dimensional.  These treats were so quick to make.  Even with embossing.  I love the white embossing because it looks like the white pumpkin face on the lollipop.

Below is the same layout I used last year with the Snow Swirled stamp set.  This time I used the new Serene Snowflake set and added a little bling with our crystal brads.  I also used the new Four the Holidays Stamp Set for the sentiment.  This is probably one of my most favorite sets from the new mini.  I love the sentiments that are written clearly and are big enough to see. 

Did you know that Stampin' Up! has partnered with Build-a-Bear?  They have stamp sets and Big Shot dies.  So I decided to showcase the stamp set first.  I used watercolor crayons and Blender pens to color the little girl in.  The patterned paper is from the Cottage Wall designer paper series.  I have always loved to color so this was fun to get back to simple coloring with a little technique behind it.

Stampin' Up! Tour Part 3

Stampin' Up! Tour Part 2

This was a shot of a training room.  All the walls are dry erase boards.  Everyone was leaving notes for new stamp set designs, new tool items, and thoughts of gratitude for all the hard work they have put in to making Stampin' Up! the greatest company.

Stampin' Up! Tour

Hello Everyone,

Well, I'm home from Utah.  It was a fabulous week.  Wish you all were there.  It was so great seeing new demonstrations and getting the latest and greatest news about Stampin' Up!'s upcoming My Digital Studio.  If you have pictures sitting on your computer and haven't scrapped them into a scrapbook yet then this new product will be right up your alley.  It's not ready yet but I will let you know as soon as it is available.

Steve picked me up from the airport and took me straight to the beach.  Thank goodness.  I needed a boat ride.  I sat on the plane ride home and we had a little turbulence.  The whole time I kept saying to myself..."it's ok...you wont get sick...it's just like riding in the boat....just can't see where you are going!"  I think I talked myself into a boat ride.  Anyway, I got to the beach house and my parents had arrived and were completely surprised to see us.  We took a nice ride to Thomas Point Lighthouse and back.  It was a great night on the water.  Not so great on land.  Hot, Humid, Muggy and Buggy. 

Above you will see Kerry and I at Stampin' Up! Headquarters.  Below you will see our ugly rental car.  Let's put it this way...it was easy to find.

The pictures below are of the distribution center at Stampin' Up!  Shelli had skylights installed to illuminate the whole warehouse.  It was wonderful.  The whole process of how stamps actually make it into the boxes and are shipped to you was fascinating and a lot more detailed oriented than I ever thought.  We had a great time.

I will post more soon.  This has taken me over 2 hours to post tonight.  Internet is slow here at the beach.  I still have so much to share with you.

My Convention Swaps

Well, I have arrived in Utah.  Can't wait to got to the Convention Center and pick up all the treats plus a little shopping at Memento Mall will be nice.  Then it's off to Stampin' Up! Headquarters for a tour.  Haven't been there before and I'm totally looking forward to it!

Above is a picture of all my swaps.  Talk about last minute.  I made all the eggplant flower cards before I left today for my flight and the Season's Greetings card last night!  Oh boy, I don't want to be that behind ever again.

Catstail Inspired By Nature

Hello Everyone,

Here's another card we made in Card CLub this week.  This card is a medium square card.  I just love the little cats-tails that are made simply by applying the horizontal slot punch pieces to the grass portion of the Inspired By Nature Stamp Set (111656) $23.95.  The little butterfly is from the Flight of the Butterfly Stamp Set (111564) $31.95.  The colors are the same as the Trendy Trees card posted last week. Check that out here: http://www.stampinred.com/stampinred/2009/07/trendy-trees-square-card.html.

Greenhouse Garden

Hello Everyone,

Here is another one of my swaps for Convention.  I just love 2 step stamping and this new set Greenhouse Garden (113824) $25.95.  The colors are Whisper White, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Elegant Eggplant and Mellow Moss.  Punches are: Ticket Corner Punch, Double Rectangle.

Here's the card with a little bit of sparkle.  I used the glue pen and dazzling diamond glitter on the centers of the flowers.  I love this touch.  The "Thinking of You" sentiment comes from the Kind & Caring Thoughts Hostess Level 3 set.

Sparkly & Bright

Hello Everyone,

Today's card is 4" x 4".  I used the new set-Sparkly & Bright (115346) $17.95 plus the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper (115672) $9.95.  I used the 1 3/8" circle punch along with the Scallop Circle punch.  The Scallop Circle is popped up on dimensionals.  The colors are Old Olive, Choc. Chip, Real Red and Very Vanilla.  I also used Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon. 

These ingredients are exactly the same as yesterday except the card size changed.  This will be one of my cards for swapping at convention next week.  I think I will actually make rudolph's nose sparkle though. 

Stay tuned...for another card front I will be swapping at convention next week.  While I'm away at convention I will be having a special or two.  Haven't decided exactly what that will be yet however, check back soon.  You won't want to miss it!
