These are the little treats I made for my Mom's work gifts. They were quick and simple. She had Ghirardelli chocolates and all she needed was the toppers. So I made 20 for her to pass out to her teacher friends at work. Due to the snow all classes were canceled this week so this will be an after Christmas treat. Each holds 2 chocolates in the small cellophane bags.

Hello Everyone,
Well, we finally dug out! I didn't shovel this time. I paid 2 guys to do it! Smart cookie...aren't I. Only $40 too...it's all I had on me and they went for it. It took them a little over an hour too. Couldn't imagine doing it on my own but my father-in-law was dying to bring his snow blower over I'm sure. Just wouldn't you know it...The one big storm and it broke 5 minutes after starting it. Poor guy, his dreams of snow blowing the neighborhood were over.
My poor little corner tree is completely surrounded by snow.
It's a long driveway when you have to shovel it.
Okay, on to stamping stuff!

I'm having a great time with the new clear mount stamps. It's a different experience. One I'm enjoying. I can see so much more shelf saving space and clear mount stamps are cheaper! Here are two of the many Christmas Cards I used this year for my 150 cards to send. Now, I still hand-made the majority of the cards but I wanted to try our New My Digital Studio and see what I liked about this program. Well, I like the fact that you make a card once and can print it as many times as you would like. It made the whole production of card-making this holiday season go by quickly. It usually takes me a whole weekend to do my Christmas Cards but this year only one evening! Whoo Hoo!
I still have some learning to do. I am My Digital Studio Certified, however I haven't made a ton of projects on account of time. It's been a busy year. What I love is that I only worked on each card for a few minutes. In the same night I created a calendar for 2010. It was wonderful. Steve and I were watching the Redskins Game (tivoed of course...who watches in real time anymore?) and I just played on the My Digital Studio Program.
What's wonderful is I'm gonna point out my boo boos to you! What? She made mistakes? Yes, I did! Didn't realize it either until it arrived in the mail. Oh well. They even have a checks and balance part to the program where it says...before you lock this project you have something off here...etc... Well, I saw that and clicked through it just cause I didn't see exactly what it was talking about. Maybe, I was too into the football game and just wanted to order them. Whatever...I learned.

Hello Everyone,
Well, if you live on the east coast you are certainly seeing some of what we are seeing here! Two Feet of snow! Snow is not my favorite. It's pretty when it's falling and even more fun when it gives you a day off of work. Today however, was our family "Kids Christmas Party". We had to cancel until next weekend. This is the first time we have ever canceled this party. Usually we are all commenting on how nice the day ends up being outside. We take family pictures outside in 40-50 degree weather and the kids end up playing outside most years since the weather is usually more mild. This year we got the biggest snow storm. Steve just took some shots of our backyard and front yard. I will share them. Just for those of you who are here for events to see how much snow we've got and it's still coming down.
Since we have a covered front porch we have spent time outside with hot chocolate just watching the snow fall. It was so peaceful last night at 3am. Yes, we are night owls. This afternoon we had much more to look at...walkers, sledders, and the little kids enjoying the big snow storm. So here are some pics...

Hello Everyone,
Here are the little treat bags I made for Steve's co-workers this weekend. Every year the number to make rises. This year was 50. I finished making them and had left over designer paper. I decided to make extra 4x4 cards. I ended up with 22 extra cards. Woo Hoo! They will come in handy. Actually, they already have. I sent some to all the new card club members. The rest I will most likely make as thank you notes. Its always good to have cards on hand.

Hello Everyone,
Here's a quick view of the Build-a-Bear Felt Bears I have been working on for my niece and nephews this holiday season. I have made multiple pieces of shirts, hats, shoes, belts, skirts, jackets, pants, etc...
The Big Shot has no problem running through the felt. It's been fun mixing and matching all of these little bears. I have a felt board to include with all the pieces so they can create a story of their own. I'm thinking about making my own little rhyme to go along with the bears to get them dressed. When I was student teaching years ago I made a snowman from a little felt board rhyme and the kids just loved it. They wanted me to say the rhyme over and over again while they put all the pieces together. Hmm...guess I should get to work on making a rhyme.
