Hello Everyone,
This was a card my Upline Jane made for me. I was suppose to make it at a meeting last month however, I caught one of those ugly colds that was going around. I'm so glad that's over. Look close to see the jewels on the witches boots.

Hello Everyone,
I am sitting in Florida right now writing this blog post. I just love it here. The weather is amazing and the view is outstanding. Working outside in the beautiful weather is fantastic. I heard from a friend it was in the 30s last night at home. Before I left I was getting into the spirit of warm, sunny weather when I made the card above.
I used a technique that was shown to us at the Stampin' Up! Regional in Baltimore this month. I'm not sure the exact name of the technique but I will explain what I did to make this card. First, start with WaterColor Paper. Ink the image in Versamark and heat emboss with White Embossing Powder. Once dry take your Bashful Blue Stamp Pad and squeeze it while it's shut. This puts ink on the top of the lid. Pull from that ink with an Aquapainter. Then color the sky of the image. Making sure to paint the tree image and outside of the tree image. The Embossed Tree will resist the ink.
Repeat the same process with Old Olive Ink. I chose this instead of the Certainly Celery since I wanted the grass to look greener. I may make a video showing this if time allows once I'm home from Florida.

The Morning Cup Stamp Set (120489 clear mount) has some very cute sentiments in it. I love this one..."Caffeine isn't a drug, it's a vitamin!" If only they had little Diet Pepsi Stamps! That would make this set complete. Oh well...I can appreciate the tea cups.
For this card I used the Designer Series Papers from the Subtles Collection. These paper packs have become a staple in my card making. They go so far. The colors here are Marina Mist, Certainly Celery, So Saffron, and Very Vanilla. I used markers to color in the tea cups then added Crystal Effects over top and allowed it to dry. Hello Everyone,
I just love the Just Believe Stamp Set. For this card I added our Pearl Jewels to the flowers for a little dimension. Does this layout look familiar? I used it early this year for the Catch The Fever Event. Here's the card from that event.
Sometimes I have pre-cut layouts left over from events. I decided to use up some of those pre-cut layouts to make the Just Believe card above. It's easy to use the same layouts with different stamp sets to create a new card. Or use the same layout just swap out the colors and it becomes a completely new card. I hope this generates some new card ideas for you.

Hello Everyone,
Halloween is just around the corner. Here are a couple of quick treats. I used these cute little containers to showcase some festive candy. Then added rome ribbon around the top and added the sentiment on the lid. Too simple.
For this project I used the Batty For You Stamp Set and the 1 3/8" circle punch, and scallop circle punch. I added the white gel pen dots to each scallop.

Hello Everyone,
Steve and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary yesterday. I tried to come up with a manly card using my favorite sentiment from this current catalog.
For this project I used Early Espresso, More Mustard, Very Vanilla and Autumn Spice Specialty Designer Paper. The stamps are from the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set and the Hostess Set Occasional Quotes.
The funny part about giving Steve this card is that I hand wrote a sentiment inside that said something like after these 14 crazy years I wouldn't want to change anything. I left the card for Steve to wake up to on his way to work. He left me a card too...store bought... with the same exact sentiment. I guess after 18 years together we get each other.

Here are the additional Card Club Cards we made this month.
This Autumn Spice Specialty Designer Series Paper (120808 $11.95) has a wonderful fall motif. This Designer paper is Textured and heavy weight. Kind of reminds me of wallpaper. Here is a sample of the complete selection:
For this card we used the textured plate Perfect Details and ran the real red through the Big Shot. We colored in the dots with the basic black marker. Added a little 1/8" Basic Black Ribbon. The stamps are from the Tags til Christmas Stamp Set.

Hello Everyone,
Here's a little treat we made recently for Card Club. Usally Card Club consists of cards but I made two cards last month using brayers and didn't have enough brayers to complete both cards. So I substituted this little treat. We did the brayer card this month at club instead.
To make the treat I used the new Got Treats Stamp Set. The stamp was colored in using markers. For the Decorative Label Punch you punch out the stamped image on Very Vanilla and then punch an additional Wild Wasabi Decorative Label Punch. Trim the Wild Wasabi punched peice by cutting it on the sides and layering it behind the Very Vanilla peice.
Did you notice the Glimmer Brads? They really give it some sparkle. The DSP is a Rich Razzleberry pattern from the Bold Brights Designer Series Paper Pack.
Here is the card we made this month with the brayers. The colors used are Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, and Always Artichoke.
