Hello Everyone,
I wanted to make one of the holiday wreaths and fell in love with the new Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Here's a step by step tutorial on how I made the rosettes or lollies. I searched and searched the ideas on how to make these and I think this method Heather from Canada came up with is the best. It's easy. Now, I only wish I had my glue gun when I adhered them to the wreath frame. I couldn't find my glue gun and used stick pins. I've had it hanging up in the house the last couple of months and well, the pins just don't hold up. Go for the glue gun when you make yours!

For the wreath I used the Spice Cake Designer Series Fabric for the base of the wreath. I then made the rosettes out of Spice Cake designer series paper.

Adding buttons, brads and smaller rosettes on top of larger rosettes make a beautiful arrangement.

So here's how you make your rosette:

For this piece I used a 2"x12" piece of designer series paper. I scored each 1/2" mark. (To make this easy you could score a whole piece of 12x12 designer series paper and cut your rosette from that larger piece.)

You need 2 strips of 2"x12" dsp to make the rosette. You will adhere them together...one peak adheres to one valley. But before you adhere you need to thread some string through the ends.

Now in order to punch through the designer series paper you can only punch 1/2 of the 12" at a time. See pictures above and below.

The best part of the cropodile is that it has a setting to keep all the punches uniformed. It makes for perfect placement!

Next thread the string through one of the 12" pieces.

Add sticky strip to the end of the 12" threaded piece.

String the next 12" piece and adhere the ends together.

By pulling both ends of the string you will form a fan. Then add sticky strip to one end to adhere the rosette together.

Pull the string tight and tie off in a knot. You can then thread the accessories through the string. Like a button.

So that's it. Pretty easy once you see all the steps. It took me about an hour to make all the rosettes pictured on the wreath. Again, it's easier to score a whole sheet of 12x12 designer series paper and then cut the desired lengths. I used 2", 1 1/2", and 1" lollies for my wreath.
Hope you find some time to make a holiday wreath.
