Fabulous Ideas from Demos put to use!

 

The other day I was blog browsing as must of us do.  I came across a post by Amy Rysavy that had these glitter ornaments.  I just loved them.  I knew I had to find out how to make them.  Many years ago I created my own swirl ornaments with acrylic paints.  I was thrilled with how they turned out but it required a lot of drying time.  With these ornaments they weren't too terribly messy.  Love that!  Once you add the glitter it soaks up the rest of the ink.  I did let them dry overnight but I don't think that was necessary.  Amy has a great tutorial here. 

Then I came across Kimberly Van Diepen's post and knew I needed to add the Snow Flurries to the ornaments.  What a great idea.  Especially since I have a bag left over from my Snow Flurries classes.  I'm thrilled with how well these turned out!  I used the following re-inkers: Ballet Blue, Night of Navy, Pacific Point, Old Olive, Kiwi Kiss, Glorious Green, Rose Red, Real Red and Riding Hood Red.  The ornaments were Clear from Michaels.  I hope you like them.  Leave me a comment to let me know what you think!  The Snow Flurries are only available until Jan 18th.  Don't miss out on them.  They are in the Holiday Mini Catalog. 

Update: The teachers from Mom's school loved the treats from the previous post.  It's so nice to get great feedback from something you have made...don't ya think!

Tomorrow I will post the treats I made for my Husband's office.  They were so quick and easy to do this year thanks to the BIG SHOT!!!  I'm loving this tool!

Bella Rose Designer Series Paper, New In Colors

 

As promised, here are some of the new selections of Designer Paper and New In Colors that will be available on August 11th. The Kiwi Kiss is a new In Color selection.  The Floral paper includes the Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, and Riding Hood Red In Colors. The Stamp Set used is Heard From the Heart.  Chocolate Chip Card stock was used with the Chocolate designer paper and Pink Pirouette Designer Paper included in the Bella Rose Series.  The ribbons are Old Olive and Chocolate Chip.  These cards are easy to make.  The Designer Paper does all the work.  I've got a few more cards made with another new set and I will post them soon.

Wild About Wasabi

The In Colors palette of on-trend colors are available until Aug 10th.  They are Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, River Rock, Groovy Guava, and Purely Pomegranate.  Be sure to order refill inks for these colors if you can't bear to see them go. 

A new set of In Colors will be in our new Fall-Winter Idea Book & Catalog set to release on Aug 11th. 

Here is an invite I made with the Wild Wasabi Textured Card Stock, Very Vanilla and Purely Pomegranate Card Stock.  You can find this on page 163 of the current catalog. This invitation also uses the Wild Wasabi double stitched ribbon, 5 Petal Punch and Ice Brads. Stamp sets used: Celebrate Everything, Please Come and Priceless.  Stamp pads: Purely Pomegranate, and Wild Wasabi.
